Departmental exams (DE1-DE2)
- These are two reading comprehension tests designed by the Languages Department.
- They have 25 multiple-choice questions.*
- Each exam is worth
25 pts . - English-English dictionaries are allowed.
- Departmental exam 1 (DE1) is in week 6 (Thurs, Feb 17).
- Departmental exam 2 (DE2) is in week 11 (Thurs, March 24).
- If you miss any of the departmental exams, you will have to get permission for a makeup exam from Coordinación de Ciclo Básico, MEM 1° Floor (Ask your teacher for a form to be stamped by CCB).

Quizzes (RQ)
- There will be three reading comprehension quizzes.
- Mainly multiple choice format, but not exclusively.
- Each quiz is worth 13-14 pts.
- Bilingual and monolingual dictionaries are allowed.
- If you miss any of the quizzes, ask your teacher for a form to request a makeup quiz .
- You can only make up one missed quiz.
- Makeup quizzes are given on Week 12.
Blog & In-class participation
You need to check our class Weblog every week and check for updates. Your involvement and participation in class activities, discussions of readings, and group work will be on-going throughout the term. The following activities will be graded:
- Students' list picture
- Blog registration
- Group assignments
- Readings' questions handouts
